When I first started my photography journey, I was in High School! My dad had purchased a nice camera for me, I was in the High School Yearbook Class, and I just knew photography was something I had an eye for. My friends asked me to do photos for them, then it just began to expand from there into something more. I started having actual clients and Cowboys & Angels Photography was born in 2013, right after my High School Graduation.

I am a God loving, Aussie mom of 2 (Trooper & Ellie), Cat mom (Costa), Wife to Spencer, Certified Medical Assistant/Certified Phlebotomist, Community supporting, and photography woman. I'm obsessed with decorating and designing rooms (probably because I grew up a contractors daughter), I love to cook but hate to bake, love to garden, trips to my mountain is my happy place, bubble baths with candles and worship music is a nightly ritual, and trying new places is my favorite small thing to do in life. I truly enjoy simple things. 

 

I graduated with a Bachelors degree from Fairmont State University in Exercise Science. I traveled home almost every weekend to do photography while I was still in College. Finally, I graduated in 2017, and moved home to be with my now husband and family. I grew up 10 min from my home in Lost River, and now live in my Pap Paws Farmhouse in Baker, WV, that's been redone inside and out. My second language in fashion and third is home reno. Through my strong faith, I continue to try to make each day count, and help people capture memories that will last a lifetime. I refuse to give up on my dreams. Life is short, and sometimes all you have is the photos. We make it our personal goal to help capture those special moments you can treasure forever.

At the sessions, you may see a few people. One, is my amazing husband which happens to be my second shooter and assistant with the groom/groomsmen. He helps carry equipment, set up first looks, fix your tie, or maybe even sneak you a drink to help calm your nerves if you need it. My mom is the other person you might see. Its simple. She rocks. She's helped me for 8 years continue my dreams, and helps calm my nerves in any panic attack situation I may have. If she's been at your wedding, you begin to call her mom too. She will steam clothes, put on your boutonniere, carry your dress or flowers, help your family get in line, and I could literally name off a list forever. We all try to help with the small stuff. We are not there just as photographers, but friends as well. We help any way we can, and have been known to help jump in when needed.
